Sneak Peek of FinCap Friday: Has tipping culture gotten out of control?
Most people agree that during the start of the pandemic tipping workers at coffee shops, supermarkets, restaurants, airports and other service based establishments felt like it was the right thing to do. It feels as if these establishments implemented digital payment checkout systems overnight! Specifically, digital payment systems that prompt customers to choose the amount you want to tip - 10%, 15% or 20%. Now, the pandemic has waned but the tipping touch screens remain.
