[The Resource] CARTOONS: The Value of a High Credit Score
The Gist: Students choose one of the five cartoons provided and analyze how credit scores can impact financial opportunities.
The Best Parts:
- You and your students can some chuckles from these comedic and witty cartoons!
- Students get to practice their inference and connection skills when analyzing how the cartoon portrays the importance of having a high credit score.
- This cartoon activity can be useful for educators who teach in other content areas, such as history, ELA, or media literacy, and want to incorporate personal finance into their classes!

About the Author
Abby Alcala
After graduating with a statistics major at UC Davis, Abby set off to Massachusetts to teach algebra 1 and geometry and enjoyed working with the curious and creative minds of high school students. She is passionate about helping students recognize and develop their strengths and leadership skills. She was instrumental in taking the high school cheer team to regional competitions, as well as elevating school spirit and pride through creating unity amongst the study body and educators.
